| Thermomechanical performance test (type test) | Test procedure: The insulator element shall withstand four 24 h cooling and heating cycles and simultaneously apply a tensile load that is maintained between 60% and 65% of the specified electromechanical or mechanical failure load. In each 24h cycle, it should first be cooled to a temperature of 30 ° C 5C, and then heated to +40 ° C ± 50C. The temperature deviation of the cooling and heating cycles should be controlled to ensure a minimum temperature difference of 70 K between the recorded cooling and heating temperatures.
The maximum temperature and the minimum temperature should be maintained for at least 4 h in the temperature cycle. The speed of the temperature change is not really important, it depends on the test device. All temperatures should be measured on or near the metal attachment of one of the insulators.
A tensile load should be applied to the insulator at room temperature before starting the first hot and cold cycle. At the end of each heating period, the tensile load is completely removed and reapplied, except for the last thermal cycle. After the fourth 24 h cycle, it was cooled to room temperature to remove the tensile load.
Test function: The tensile test module can be used as a tensile test for insulators such as rated mechanical load and mechanical damage load test of composite insulators. At the same time, the heat engine test module is set up to perform a heat engine test with a temperature cycle of 4 cycles of 24 hours (96 hours total). The tensile test module and the heat test module can operate independently and should not have a significant impact on the other module during operation. |
